Chasing Twisters Tour
The Chasing Twisters Tour was possibly our favorite tour as a band (with The Light + The Dark Tour currently competing for the title). We had just released our Chasing Twisters EP and felt free to experiment and road test new songs, and we explored the beauty of this country whenever we got the chance. So it felt really fitting for it to be named after one of the most cinematic, anthemic and sweeping songs in our catalogue.
We got in the van on Valentine's day 2014 and our first show was at 9:30 Club in DC, one of our favorite rooms to play in America. The tour spanned the mid Atlantic, the Northeast, up to Canada and all the way west to Colorado and California. We sold out Lincoln Hall in Chicago, and The Varsity in Minneapolis. The shows were wildly fun and energetic and we had one of our favorite artists, Joshua James, opening for us for most of the shows. We also saw some beautiful places we’d never been before — on a day off out west, we spent an afternoon in Zion National Park while driving through Utah.
