Episode 12 - The Journey
Hey Witches! Well, we’ve arrived at the end of our series, but maybe it’s actually a new beginning for some of us? The Journey is a card honoring those who seek a challenging, purposeful course. Self actualization, while an inner transformation, requires that we allow the external world to do its work on us too. Like The Wheel of Fortune and The World, The Journey is a cyclical card, it brings us back to where we started, but our perception of what’s there will be as changed as we are; the old becomes new again and we will have what we sought. Unlike The Fool walking blind, we set out on The Journey with a sense of determination and purpose. Along the way we will walk through experiences that prompt us to individuate, dissolve, awaken, and integrate. When inward journeys feel inaccessible because we don’t have the tools to explore ourselves, often the outside world invites restless souls into the wild to learn. There is a push and pull of universal and individual that leads us to understand ourselves and our place in the whole of things. The first steps out the door and into a new reality are the hardest. But the elements of the world are here to strengthen and shape you, and exploring will help you find yourself where you’re meant to be.
For those Seekers who wish to continue into The Dark, I offer The Dark Arcana to you, coming very soon exclusively to the Secret Store only Behind The Door. This deck includes 12 cards, 9 traditional and 3 original, and for those who have bought The Dark vinyl, make sure you check the sleeve for a cosmically chosen card that allows you first access. Thank you all for your energy and excitement around the intersection of Delta Rae’s music and the mystic arts. If you have questions about tarot as you continue to learn and reflect, feel free to message me on Instagram or in our new Discord chat. I’ll miss these lessons as we enter Season II, but I have more spells up my sleeve for my witches yet, I promise! Until then, remember: in this coven we always use our magic for good, we fight the white supremacist patriarchy, and we carry the fire.
